The MULTILINK study is a collaborative research project aimed at improving outcomes for high-risk patients with multimorbidity (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, HIV, chronic kidney disease) in sub-Saharan Africa. Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Officer to join our team.
Position Details
Title: Clinical Officer (6 Positions)

Contract Duration: Initial 1-year contract (6-month probation period), renewable

Responsibilities
The Clinical Officer will work in hospital settings (St. Joseph, Kibosho, Machame, Hai, Huruma, or Marangu Hospital) under the supervision of the Study Coordinator. Key responsibilities include:
- Adhering to study protocols and procedures.
- Explaining the study to participants, answering questions, and obtaining informed consent.
- Completing case report forms, questionnaires, and clinical histories.
- Performing phlebotomy, HIV counseling and testing, and assisting with physical examinations.
- Coordinating follow-up visits and maintaining communication with participants and healthcare staff.
- Contributing to protocol improvements and attending training sessions.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirement | Details |

Education | Diploma in Clinical Medicine or a degree in Medicine (or equivalent). |
Experience | Phlebotomy and HIV Voluntary Counseling and Testing are required. Clinical and/or research experience preferred but not mandatory. |
Skills and Attributes | Highly detail-oriented, organized, dependable, with teamwork skills. Comfortable interacting with participants from diverse backgrounds. |
Language Proficiency | Fluency in written and verbal English and Kiswahili. |
